Paid Search Analyst

About the Role

We’re looking for a candidate with relevant internship experience or up to 2 years of experience in Paid Search to join our team. You’ll dive into our clients' Google Ads & Microsoft Ads accounts to analyze performance, implement optimizations, and launch tests under the direction of the senior members of our Paid Search team while you cultivate the skills to be able to develop Paid Search strategies on your own.

Responsibilities

  • Paid Search Management & Analysis
    • Aid in the development of outcome-driven SEM strategies
      • Support the creation of tactical roadmaps that prioritize SEM opportunities given each client’s goals & unique marketing situation (industry, competition, resources, etc.)
    • Support day-to-day management of our clients’ SEM engagements:
      • Conceptualize & create new campaigns
      • Keyword expansion and negative keywords
      • Bid modification and optimization
      • Landing page testing recommendations
      • Quality score optimization
      • Weekly and monthly reporting
      • Feed management and optimization
    • Support in the development of client-facing solutions and deliverables, including sales pitches and competitive/landscape audits
    • Enhance performance through testing efforts across PPC campaigns such as A/B ad testing, bid portfolio optimizations, etc.
    • Develop and deliver reporting that communicates results and surfaces new insights and recommendations
    • Support other Paid Search responsibilities that are not explicitly mentioned above
  • Account Management
    • Assist with account management duties like organizing meeting agendas, providing clients with updates, and attending meetings
    • Maintain an organizational system that ensures your responsibilities are completed on time & to expectations
    • Onboard new clients and support getting the necessary access to new accounts (Google Ads, Analytics, Search Console, etc.)
    • Support other Account Management responsibilities that are not explicitly mentioned above

Requirements

  • 0 - 2 years of experience managing SEM programs (relevant internship experience at minimum)
  • Preferred, but not mandatory, qualifications:
    • Familiarity with PPC management tools (i.e. Google AdWords, Microsoft Ads, Google Ads Editor)
    • Familiarity with Paid Social platforms (Meta, LinkedIn, Pinterest, etc…)
    • Familiarity with reporting & analytics platforms (GA4, Google Looker Studio, etc…)
    • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative, marketing, or related discipline
    • Agency experience

Compensation 

  • Salary: $45,000 - $59,000
  • 10% bonus based on company goals

Dave made an accidental foray into digital marketing after graduating from the University of Minnesota Duluth and hasn’t looked back. Having spent the first part of his marketing journey brand-side, he now works with the Uproer team to help clients realize their goals through the lens of search.

When not at work, you’ll find Dave staying active and living a healthy lifestyle, listening to podcasts, and enjoying live music. A Minnesotan born and raised, his favorite sport is hockey and he still finds time to skate once in a while.

Dave’s DiSC style is C. He enjoys getting things done deliberately and systematically without sacrificing speed and efficiency. When it comes to evaluating new ideas and plans, he prefers to take a logical approach, always sprinkling on a bit of healthy skepticism for good measure. At work, Dave’s happiest when he has a chance to dive deep into a single project for hours at a time. He loves contributing to Uproer and being a part of a supportive team but is most productive when working solo.

Griffin discovered SEO in 2012 during a self-taught web development course and hasn’t looked back. After years of working as an SEO consultant to some of the country’s largest retail and tech brands, Griffin pursued his entrepreneurial calling of starting an agency in May of 2017.

Outside of work, Griffin enjoys going to concerts and spending time with his wife, two kids, and four pets.
