Paid Search Analyst

About the Role

We’re looking for a candidate with 6 months to 2 years of experience in Paid Search to join our fast-growing search marketing agency. You’ll support strategy development and execution for our growing list of SEM clients with the broader goal of establishing Uproer as a leading provider of Paid Search solutions in the US for SaaS and Ecommerce companies.

You’ll be responsible for managing client engagements, developing performance insights, and identifying opportunities to improve the quality and efficiency of our offerings.

The chosen candidate will be a strategic thinker who is motivated by driving results for our clients. This role encourages (or more accurately, requires) entrepreneurial enthusiasm, as the chosen candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to the growth and direction of Uproer’s business.

Responsibilities

  • Paid Media Management & Analysis
    • Aid in the development of outcome-driven SEM strategies
      • Support the creation of tactical roadmaps that prioritize SEM opportunities given each client’s goals & unique marketing situation (industry, competition, resources, etc.)
    • Support day-to-day management of our clients’ SEM engagements:
      • Conceptualize & create new campaigns
      • Keyword expansion and negative keywords
      • Bid modification and optimization
      • Landing page testing recommendations
      • Quality score optimization
      • Weekly and monthly reporting
      • Feed management and optimization
    • Support in the development of client-facing solutions and deliverables, including sales pitches and competitive/landscape audits
    • Enhance performance through testing efforts across PPC campaigns such as A/B ad testing, bid portfolio optimizations, etc.
    • Develop and deliver reporting that communicates results and surfaces new insights and recommendations
  • Account Management
    • Assist with account management duties like organizing meeting agendas, providing clients with updates, and attending meetings
    • Maintain an organizational system that ensures your responsibilities are completed on time & to expectations
    • Onboard new clients and support getting the necessary access to new accounts (Google Ads, Analytics, Search Console, etc.)

Requirements

  • 6 months - 2 years of experience managing SEM programs
  • Experience with PPC management tools (i.e. Google AdWords, Microsoft Ads, Google Ads Editor)
  • Experience with Paid Social platforms (Meta, LinkedIn, Pinterest, etc…)
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and analyze large data sets
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Proven experience with reporting & analytics platforms (GA4, Google Data Studio, etc…)
  • Time management skills and strong attention to detail
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative, marketing or related discipline preferred
  • Experience in account/client management is a plus

Compensation 

  • Salary: $45,000 - $58,000
  • 10% bonus based on company goals

Dave Sewich

Dave made an accidental foray into digital marketing after graduating from the University of Minnesota Duluth and hasn’t looked back. Having spent the first part of his marketing journey brand-side, he now works with the Uproer team to help clients realize their goals through the lens of search.

When not at work, you’ll find Dave staying active and living a healthy lifestyle, listening to podcasts, and enjoying live music. A Minnesotan born and raised, his favorite sport is hockey and he still finds time to skate once in a while.

Dave’s DiSC style is C. He enjoys getting things done deliberately and systematically without sacrificing speed and efficiency. When it comes to evaluating new ideas and plans, he prefers to take a logical approach, always sprinkling on a bit of healthy skepticism for good measure. At work, Dave’s happiest when he has a chance to dive deep into a single project for hours at a time. He loves contributing to Uproer and being a part of a supportive team but is most productive when working solo.

Griffin Roer

Griffin discovered SEO in 2012 during a self-taught web development course and hasn’t looked back. After years of working as an SEO consultant to some of the country’s largest retail and tech brands, Griffin pursued his entrepreneurial calling of starting an agency in May of 2017.

Outside of work, Griffin enjoys going to concerts and spending time with his wife, two kids, and four pets.

Griffin’s DiSC style is D. He’s driven to set and achieve goals quickly, which helps explain why he’s built his career in the fast-paced agency business. Griffin’s most valuable contributions to the workplace include his motivation to make progress, his tendency towards bold action, and his willingness to challenge assumptions.
