The Uproer Approach to Ecommerce SEO

Table of Contents

So what does Uproer do differently than other top ecommerce SEO agencies? I’m so glad you asked! We have a cyclical Ecommerce Approach that involves a consistent research and measurement phase.

Research

We’re always looking for ways to improve performance. We analyze search behavior, past performance and competition to identify gaps & opportunities.

Audit

This is where most of our Ecommerce engagements start. We audit websites to identify areas of most growth and to build plans to create a search-friendly foundation with technical, on-site and off-site optimization.

Prioritize

We’re not like one of those agencies that’ll give a task list and peace out. We prioritize high impact SEO work and make plans that work specifically for individual websites. We’ll also execute a transparent SEO plan that works by prioritizing tactics by effort & impact.

Execute

We’ve seen it time and time again - products and content will underperform if they live on a less-than-optimized website. By focusing on foundational fixes with long term strategy development, most of our Ecommerce clients will see quick wins, followed by steady organic growth.

Expand

We run everything through goals. If it doesn’t ladder up to one of our client’s goals, we shelve the recommendation. Our conversion path and funnel based approach to SEO aims to pull in relevant customers with ranking content that can be targeted cross platform with paid search and social advertising.

Measure

Perhaps the most important element to our work is measurement. As we progress with our Ecommerce clients, we put more effort and emphasis on tactics and strategies that are working, and less into those that aren’t working towards our goals. Measurement is a consistent part of the Uproer strategy and it enables us to be light and quick on our feet.

To Summarize

Ecommerce SEO is an ever-changing landscape, with new tools and new platforms arriving every day. One thing we can be sure of is that if we’re guided by the client’s end goals and needs, we can’t go wrong.

While many of our tactics and strategies are repeatable processes and systems, we consistently see great results from the correct and swift implementation of them, and we hope you will too.

Sr. Manager, SEO & Operations

Dave Sewich

Dave made an accidental foray into digital marketing after graduating from the University of Minnesota Duluth and hasn’t looked back. Having spent the first part of his marketing journey brand-side, he now works with the Uproer team to help clients realize their goals through the lens of search.

When not at work, you’ll find Dave staying active and living a healthy lifestyle, listening to podcasts, and enjoying live music. A Minnesotan born and raised, his favorite sport is hockey and he still finds time to skate once in a while.

Dave’s DiSC style is C. He enjoys getting things done deliberately and systematically without sacrificing speed and efficiency. When it comes to evaluating new ideas and plans, he prefers to take a logical approach, always sprinkling on a bit of healthy skepticism for good measure. At work, Dave’s happiest when he has a chance to dive deep into a single project for hours at a time. He loves contributing to Uproer and being a part of a supportive team but is most productive when working solo.

Griffin Roer

Griffin discovered SEO in 2012 during a self-taught web development course and hasn’t looked back. After years of working as an SEO consultant to some of the country’s largest retail and tech brands, Griffin pursued his entrepreneurial calling of starting an agency in May of 2017.

Outside of work, Griffin enjoys going to concerts and spending time with his wife, two kids, and four pets.

Griffin’s DiSC style is D. He’s driven to set and achieve goals quickly, which helps explain why he’s built his career in the fast-paced agency business. Griffin’s most valuable contributions to the workplace include his motivation to make progress, his tendency towards bold action, and his willingness to challenge assumptions.
